In this episode, Joshua and Caleb interview Ian and Charity Rutter of R&R Fly Fishing.
Ian has been an avid fly fisherman since the early 1990s and has been guiding since 1995. He is one of the most sought-after guides in the Southeast and is an expert on fly fishing in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Ian has also written several books on fly fishing, including the Great Smoky Mountains National Park Angler’s Companion, Tennessee Trout Waters: Blue Ribbon Guide, and Rise Rings and Rhododendron: Fly Fishing the Mountain Streams and Tailwaters of Southern Appalachia.
Charity moved to Tennessee in 1998, where she met Ian and took up fly fishing shortly after. She has been guiding since 2002. In 2014, Field & Stream magazine recognized Charity as one of the top female fly-fishing guides in the nation.
